Meet the Team

Dr Dan Abood is a Queensland born and bred Orthodontist who has a passion for providing the highest quality treatment to his patients. He completed his Dental Degree in the Australian Air Force in 1992, graduating with First Class honours from the University of Queensland and winning both Oral Surgery and Orthodontic prizes in his cohort.

He obtained his Masters in Orthodontics and Masters of Science in Sleep at The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 1999 and went on to practice in Harley Street, London for four years before returning to his home town of Brisbane.

Dr Dan Abood was an early adopter of Self-Ligating brackets and has worked closely with ORMCO as they developed their technology. He is a non-extraction, airway driven orthodontist who addresses breathing disorders to help treat and prevent orthodontic and sleep-disordered breathing issues in both children and adults.

Dr Dan Abood has also undertaken extensive specialised training with the Australian Academy of Dento-Facial Aesthetics (AADFA) and Orofacial Myology training through the Coulson Institute of Orofacial Myology and The Breathe Institute and is currently completing his Masters of Laser Dentistry Program through the University of Rome in association with Fotona, as one of the only Orthodontists in Australia to graduate from this program.
